Expensive "Freemium"

Ok this is a cute game. But very expensive for a "free" app. There are tons of ads- thats ok, to be expected with a free game, thats how they keep it going. But then theres the game play- everything costs bits and gems- the gems you can buy (for example 205 gems are on sale for $15.99) or the game doles them out sparingly. Its taken me a month and a half to accumulate 90 gems. The problem with this is that they charge you gems to progress in the quest lines- the MAIN quest lines. For example, in one of the FOUR quest lines Im stuck on that requires gems to proceed, I need Shining Armor, who costs 195 gems. You cant skip it. I need a total of 395 gems or about $32 right now just to move ahead, to presumably more quests requiring gems going by what Ive seen so far. Ummm...
Thats not all- debris piles up in your towns and re-spawns, and it costs bits every time to clear it. Yesterday I had to spend 30,000 bits clearing party debris that popped up overnight thanks to the latest update, then this morning when I opened the game, another 30,000 bits worth had miraculously appeared. Oh, but you can buy more bits if your shops arent making enough to keep up- with gems (aka cash). How are you supposed to make any headway at all??? Answer- spend the extra $300 you arent doing anything with on gems. But youll still have a ton of annoying ads that pop up constantly in the game. Not once, not twice but 5 times in 10 minutes. Dont waste your time/money- its cute but not that cute. Im uninstalling today after spending 5 months trying to get ahead.
